Breaking News

Hello good people! How have you been?
I hope all of you stay safe and keep healthy as always.
Please, don't forget to keep social distancing, wash your hands, keep wearing a mask while going outside, and keep exercising to increase your body's immunity.

Well, now is the second month of the lockdown that make us have to stay at home in order to reduce the spread of the corona virus.
I hope all of you take your parts in reducing its spread, cause the success against this corona virus is depend on us.

According to the latest report May, 21 2020. Globally corona virus has caused 5,101,473 infections, 329,903 death, and 2,033,559 recovers. This virus has spread to 188 countries around the world.

According to WHO, Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is an infectious disease caused by a newly discovered coronavirus. Most people infected with the COVID-19 virus will experience mild to moderate respiratory illness and recover without requiring special treatment. Older people, and those with underlying medical problems such as cardiovascular disease, diabetes, chronic respiratory disease, and cancer are more likely to develop serious illness.

The best way to prevent and slow down transmission is be well informed about the COVID-19 virus, the disease causes and how it spreads. Protect yourself and others from infection by washing your hands or using an alcohol-based rub frequently and not touching your face. The COVID-19 virus spreads primarily through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose when an infected person coughs or sneezes, so it's important that you also practice respiratory etiquette (for example, by coughing into a flexed elbow).

At this time, there are no specific vaccines or treatments for COVID-19. However, there are many ongoing clinical trials evaluating potential treatments. WHO will continue to provide updated information as soon as clinical findings become available.

Disaster Areas

DISASTER AREAS

Hello guys, welcome back to my blog.
Nice to see you again guys🤗
Well, this time I'm going to talk about disaster area.

According to Merriam-Webster the disaster area is an area that is officially declared to be the scene of an emergency created by a disaster and therefore is qualified to receive certain types of governmental aid (such as emergency loans and relief supplies). The governmental aid is called as disaster management. Disaster management is how we deal with the human, material, economic or environmental impacts of disaster, it is the process of how we "prepare for, respond to and learn from the effects of major failures".

There are two kinds of disaster namely natural disaster and man made disaster.

1) Natural Disaster

According to the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies Natural Disasters are naturally occurring physical phenomena caused either by rapid or slow onset events that have immediate impacts on human health and secondary impacts causing further death and suffering. These disasters can be:

1. Geophysics (eg Earthquakes, Landslides, Tsunamis and Volcanic Activities)

2. Hydrology (eg Avalanches and Floods)

3. Climatology (eg Extreme Temperature, Drought and Forest Fires)

4. Meteorology (eg Typhoon and Storm / Waves)

5. Biological (eg Animal and Insect / Plague Epidemic)

2) Man-Made Disaster

Man-made disasters as seen by the International Federation of Red Cross & Red Crescent Societies are human-caused events that occur in or near human settlements that are often caused by environmental or technological emergencies. This can include:

1. Environmental degradation.
2. Pollution.
3. Accidents (eg Industry, Technology and Transportation usually involve the production, use or transportation of hazardous materials).
